  2. Prepare 2 kg Soup Bone (see pic)
  3. Make ready Enough water to boil the meat
  4. Get Step 2 Spices
  5. Take 4 Star Anise
  6. Prepare 4 Cardamoms
  7. Get 4 Cinnamon Sticks

  9. Get 2-3 tbsp Kurma powder (see pic)

  11. Prepare 2 big brown/yellow onion
  12. Prepare 4 garlic
  13. Make ready 2 " ginger
  14. Prepare 1 big green chilli
  15. Prepare 5 bird eyes chillies (more for extra punch)
  16. Get 1 tbsp Pepper (finely crushed using mortar & pestle)
  17. Get Step 4
  18. Make ready 2 sticks carrot - cut
  19. Make ready 3 big potatoes - cut into cubes
  20. Take 1 tbsp rice flour/corn flour
  21. Get To taste - Chicken Seasoning powder
  22. Prepare To taste - salt

The sup tulang vendors in Singapore sell it by the bone — it works out to just over a U. It's not a pricey food by Singaporean standards, though it is a delicacy. A similar soup by the same name can be found in Malaysia, but the preparation I had at Deen's is uniquely Singaporean. Bone marrow combined with Sup daging (beef soup) is heavenly good.

Instructions to make Bone Soup (Sup Tulang):
  1. Prepare all ingredients: 1. Clean meat then boil until tender. Make sure enough water covering the meat. Using fine sieve, Remove all the grimes on the surface of the meat soup in between boiling. Once boiled, then simmer over medium heat. Meantime, prep the rest. 2. Blend ingredients. 3. Prep carrot & potatoes. 4. Dilute rice flour/corn flour in a 1/2 cup of cold water.
  2. Preheat 2-3 tbsp of cooking oil before adding ingredients in step 2. Fry for a minute or less then add ingredients from step 3, keep stirring until translucent & aromatic. Turn off the heat. Pour this into meat pot & stir to combine.
  3. Add in ingredient from step 4. Season to taste. Let this bone/meat soup simmer to perfection.
